This
is a self portrait shot in natural light. The
hand belongs to me, the finger position is from Carcassi's Study in A, a
study piece for classical guitarists to learn technique. The focus of
the print is on the hand, not on the guitar and shows the potential for arthritis
in playing the classical guitar. The print was manipulated in the
darkroom to bring out the tonal range in the skin and let the background
become lost.
